The town hall is open from 8 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Town council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. There are zoning regulations in effect and building permits and dog licenses are required. For ongoing information please check the Baggs Council News page.
Our small community of 348 people enjoy the best of all worlds with Medicine Bow National Forest to our east and the desert containing wild horses on the west. We are located on the Little Snake River. HISTORY OF Little Snake River Valley(click)
We have four churches in our Valley:
The Church of Jesus Christ of LDS (click for LDS website)- Services on Sunday at 9:00 am
The Little Snake River Episcopal Church in Dixon - Services on Sunday.
Post Office Window Hours : 7:30 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm daily. Sat. 9:30 to 11:30 am.
The Snake River Lion's Club Rodeo is held every July (July 12th and 13th, 2008- 7pm start on Sat and 8am for slack on Sun., with 1:30pm rodeo start and fun days to follow.) at the Russell Community Park. The Events Center at the Park is used for regularly scheduled roping and horsemanship events. See link for Little Snake River Saddle Club.
Baggs Solid Waste Disposal District is open 8 am to 4 pm MST Mon. through Sat. (winter hours) and 8 am to 6 pm MDT (summer hours). NO DUMPING OF BURNED GARBAGE INTO BALER BUILDING. Landfill will no longer accept trailer houses or camper trailers. Will also not accept tires still on the rims. Closed Jan-New Years Day' Jan-Equality Day; Feb-President's Day; May-Memorial Day; July-Independence Day; September-Labor Day; November-Veteran's Day; November-Thanksgiving and Friday after, December-Christmas Day. 383-7678
The Town has a RV dump near the town hall, available to Valley residents free of charge. RV dumping only! Violators will be prosecuted! A public restroom also near the town hall is open until freezing weather forces closure.
Little Rascals Preschool will start again in Sept. for children ages 3 through 6. All the children will be combined Sessions are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 12:00 a.m. Little Rascals offers free screening programs for all children birth through 6 years. They also work in conjunction with Region VIII Child Development Program to service handicapped children and children with special needs. For more information Call Davi Duncan 383-7300.
LSRV Branch Library in Baggs is open: NEW HOURS BEGIN JAN 5, 2009 - MONDAY CLOSED, TUESDAY 9:00-12:30, 1:00-6:00 pm WEDNESDAY 9:00-11:00, THURSDAY 9:00-12:30, 1:00-6:00 pm FRIDAY 9:00-11:00 To see a list of available books click here. Call 383-7323 for information about programs.
Friends of the Library meet for a potluck luncheon on the second Thursday of every month at 11:30 EAT AT 12:00. All are invited.

Carbon County Senior Centers in Baggs and in Dixon are open 7 to 2, M-F. Please make reservations for meals one day prior to attending. For menu click here.

Wyoming Drivers Licenses testing is available at the Library 10:00am to 2:45pm the first Thurs every other month (Feb. Apr Jun. Aug. Oct. Dec.)
LSRV Conservation District office hours are 8 - 5:00 weekdays.
LSRV Museum click here for website in Savery is open in the summer. Summer hours from Memorial Day until late October are 10 am to 5 pm daily. In the winter call 307-383-7012 to check if it is open.
