REPORT FOR NOV. 2007
BFR would like to recognize the passing of a fellow Carbon County Firefighter and Sinclair Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jeff Herrud. The department was unable to attend Chief Herrud's service and would like to request a matching donation of $100 for the Sinclair Fire Department.
Currently the department is working on its winter training schedule, airpacks were covered last Wednesday, with live fire and mock training drill planned. LSRV Ambulance has requested more involved cross training between the two department to accommodate easier communication and teamwork on scene.
Preplanning for several of BFR's larger exposures will also begin after the first of the year. The owner/occupants of the buildings involved in the preplans will be notified of our intentions and will be invited to be as involved in the process as they want to be. The preplans will be primarily for Baggs Fire/Resuce, input from other agencies is also welcome.
The fire house is now back to capacity, FC 308 has returned from needed repairs in Castle Rock and has been returned to service. FC 218 is currently in Craig for repairs needed after damage sustained in a wildire earlier this summer. All other vehicles are in working order and are not due for service until 2008.
