Welcome to BAGGS, WYOMING and the Little Snake River Valley | home

Water - General tasks and maintenance preformed. Currently, the plant is in violation of total organic carbon (TOC) removal. Michelle wrote up a Tier II violation notice for the town. We are continuing to monitor and adjust plant processes as necessary, especially with the beginning spring runoff. Because of our adjustments, we have had improved TOC removal. The water line to the RV dump sprang a leak, so we shut it off until it can be repaired in the spring. Ed located lines for a frozen service line and replaced the meter that broke because of it. We dug up the Catholic Church service line, (our side of the meter) to thaw it. Michelle is working on her Distribution class. Michelle and Ed read meters on February 28. The trash pump and the diaphragm pump broke while attempting to pump out a meter pit. The trash pump's pull rope was repaired, and the diaphragm pump was sent to Grounds Repair. Michelle has started updating the SEMS software. We responded to a complaint of the Drifter's pumping out sewage from their crawlspace. We accompanied the Health Inspector on his follow-up inspection, and inspected the meter to ensure that it was still sealed. We have taken a bacteriological test for further monitoring.
Sewer - General tasks and maintenance were preformed. We are pumping out the dry well of the lift station monthly. We responded to several sewer complaints of frozen mains. We responded to a broken sewer line at CCHE. Evidently, the sewer for the rear Drifters buildings come across the CCHE property, and enter the main in Whippoorwill. We responded to a frozen sewer for the LDS church and found the main to be frozen. We jetted it, and had started to break through, when the belt on the jetter broke. We found that the sleeve for the pulley on the drive shaft had cracked and broke. We have ordered repair parts and will repair the jetter when they come in.
Roads -Michelle removed slush from the streets. She also responded to a complaint of a large puddle at the end of Hummingbird. Bob Stocks surveyed the downstream gutter, and it is higher than the puddle, so it will have to be corrected this summer.
Park -
Other - Ed and Michelle removed several trees from the Town levee on Steve Adams' property. Michelle prepared a comparison of the current dump truck and a WYDOT trade-in for the Council. Ed attended the Council meeting. Michelle attended the private applicator pesticide class, and found out that she will have to get a commercial license. Michelle completed the Tier II hazardous chemical notification for the plant and gathered price quotes for trench shoring.
